I would like to see a forum area for Vacation Rentals. I realize that these are usually short-term arrangements. You might be renting a house on the beach, or maybe an apartment in Paris just for a week, but you are still renting and I guess that makes you a tenant for week. And if you end up with a lemon it can ruin your entire vacation.

Thanks for the suggestion. It took me a while - but I decided to add your idea to the categories in the Rental Reviews at http://theLemonClub.com/review (http://theLemonClub.com/review)

I called it "Vacation Rentals and Hotels." I thought it was a good suggestion. After all, apartment renters frequently move and have to stay in hotels - so it’s all related. And as you indicated, people sometimes skip the hotel and rent apartments by the week when vacationing. A good example of this would be Leading Apartments (leadingapartments.com) of Chicago which bills itself as the hotel alternative.

We’ll see how it goes and I’ll consider making a separate area in the forum if there’s an interest. As a matter of fact, converting residential apartments into hotel rooms has been a persistent problem in Manhattan. And the last time I checked it was also illegal.

Just a quick note. The LemonClub apartment reviews and hotel reviews have been combined with other services categories at the Neighborhood Service Network. Here is the link just in case the above link does not forward properly:

The Neighborhood Service Network (NSN) concentrates on rating areas that are the most important in peoples lives such as your Home, Health, and Auto. Like it says on that website - if you want to rate hamburgers go see Yelp.
