Horrible -they'll Overcharge you for Electricity Feb 25, 2008
reviewer: Milkshake02 from Tampa, FL, U.S.A.
I'm one of the tenants living in a 3-bedroom apt at Reflections. My Housing Contract says “electricity cap for 3/3 bedroom unit is $40 per bedroom” which indicates the cap for the whole 3-bedroom unit is $120. But for the past 6 months, Landlord overcharged me several times for electricity “overages”. For example, from Oct 1, 2007 to Jan 31, 2008, I was the only tenant in my 3/3 apt, the other two bedrooms were empty, and Landlord used $40 instead of $120 as the cap for the whole 3-bedroom apt. Whenever monthly electricity bill for the whole 3-bedroom apt was over $40, Landlord charged me for “overages”. Since the Housing Contract says “electricity cap for 3/3 bedroom unit is $40 per bedroom” (Not per tenant), it clearly indicates the cap for the whole 3-bedroom unit is $120, regardless of how many tenants are living there. Therefore, the method Reflections used to calculate the monthly electricity cap to be $40 for the whole 3-bedroom unit was Illegal, which led them to overcharge me several times in the last 6 months, and could result in many more overcharged fees for the coming months. --Don't ever move to Reflections unless you wanna be Overcharged for electricity month!
